Caitlin Bartholic
Violin I
Caitlin Bartholic is a Hilliard Davidson Alumni, and after Graduating from Bowling Green State University in 2007 with a degree in Music Education returned home to Hilliard to accept a position as the Tharp Orchestra Director. She has served as the Operations Coordinator for the Columbus Symphony Cadet Orchestra, and maintains a private studio of string students. Caitlin has completed her Master of Arts degree in Music Education from The Ohio State University, and has studied violin with Dr. Penny Thompson-Kruse, Dr. Robert Gillespie, and double bass with Dr. Paul Robinson. Miss Bartholic currently assists at Weaver Middle School and Davidson High School, and lives in Hilliard with her dog, Bella.
Amy Reiske
Violin II
I started playing violin at age 10, and loved fiddle music from the beginning.
I have enjoyed playing with the Central Ohio Symphony since the 2014-2015 season and currently teaches private and group lessons for Suzuki Music Columbus.
And enjoys playing fiddle tunes in her free time.
Corey Caputo
Viola
Corey began music at the age of 4 with piano. Chose violin at age 8, at 10 branched out into Irish, Old Time Fiddle and Bluegrass styles. Corey studied with the Concert Master of the Moldovan National TV and Radio orchestra, Rovelli Grib and at 17 moved from the Chicago area to Columbus where she played with the Chamber Music Connection, a nationally recognized “From the Top” chamber music program.
At Otterbein University’s School of Music, Corey focused her studies on the viola until she served as the principle of the orchestra for two years. Corey lives and teaches in Clintonville with her husband, children and a cat named Glen CoCo.
Philip Baltzer
Cello
Piano at 5, cello at 10 and a passion for choirs, orchestras, and wind ensembles from Grove City High School and Capital University earned Phillip a Bachelor’s of Music in Choral and Instrumental Music Education: String Pedagogy.
Phillip has traveled the world, to study vocal, piano, and cello: Karuizawa, Japan and the Kodály Institute, Hungary, with Csaba Szilvay cellist and co-creator of ColourStrings methodology, a student-centered string pedagogy.
Philip, musical director at Duxberry Park Arts IMPACT Elementary School, Columbus City Schools he is also a member of Schola: St Joseph Cathedral, Compline at St Gregory and St Cecilia, and the Flute Cocktail.
