Caitlin Bartholic
Violin I
Caitlin Bartholic, a Hilliard Davidson Alumni, graduated from Bowling Green State University in 2007 with a degree in Music Education. Returning to Hilliard, she became the Tharp Orchestra Director and later the Operations Coordinator for the Columbus Symphony Cadet Orchestra. Holding a Master of Arts degree in Music Education from The Ohio State University, she’s studied under Dr. Penny Thompson-Kruse, Dr. Robert Gillespie, and Dr. Paul Robinson. Currently, she contributes her expertise to Weaver Middle School and Davidson High School. Caitlin resides in Hilliard with her dog, Bella.
Amy Reiske
Violin II
Amy starting out at playing violin at the age of 10, she discovered her passion for the violin and fiddle right away.
Since the 2014-2015 season, she has been an active member of the Central Ohio Symphony, finding joy in every performance. She also enjoys teaching private and group lessons through Suzuki Music Columbus.
During her free time, you’ll often catch her playing fiddle tunes, hiking, or backpacking.
Corey Caputo
Viola
Corey’s musical journey started at just 4 years old with the the piano. At 8, she took up the violin, and by 10, she was exploring Irish, Old Time Fiddle, and Bluegrass styles. Under the tutelage of Rovelli Grib, Concert Master of the Moldovan National TV and Radio orchestra, her talents blossomed. Relocating to Columbus at 17, Corey became an integral part of the Chamber Music Connection, a renowned nationally recognized chamber music program.
Corey’s focus shifted to the viola during her time at Otterbein University’s School of Music. This culminated in a two-year stint as the orchestra’s principal. Today, Corey resides in Columbus, sharing her musical expertise with students.
Philip Baltzer
Cello
Starting with the piano at the age of 5 and embracing the cello at 10, Phillip’s journey was fueled by his passion for choirs, orchestras, and wind ensembles. This fervor was cultivated through his experiences at Grove City High School and Capital University, where he ultimately earned a Bachelor’s of Music in Choral and Instrumental Music Education with a focus on String Pedagogy.
Phillip’s musical ventures have taken him across the globe. His pursuit of vocal, piano, and cello expertise led him to places like Karuizawa, Japan, and the Kodály Institute in Hungary. It was here that he studied alongside Csaba Szilvay, a cellist and co-creator of the ColourStrings methodology, a student-centered approach to string pedagogy.
In his current role as the musical director at Duxberry Park Arts IMPACT Elementary School within the Columbus City Schools, Phillip plays a pivotal role. He is also an active member of musical ensembles, including Schola at St. Joseph Cathedral, Compline at St. Gregory and St. Cecilia, and the Flute Cocktail ensemble.
